After the announcement of Common Written Examination for Bank PO and Management Trainee there is very much confusion about the question pattern of this test. But as it is already announced on the IBPS website that the pattern of Common Written Exam (CWE) will be same as that of other Bank PO written exam of other banks conducted earlier and hence there is no matter of concern.

Structure of common written examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS

Here I am posting the table which shows the examination structure including four
different section and their alloted questions and their respective marks.


  • Duration for Objective Test consisting of Reasoning, English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) and Computer Knowledge will be 150 Minutes
  • The Duration for Descriptive Paper on English Composition (Essay, Precis, Letter Writing etc.) will be 60 Minutes
  • All the above Tests (except English) viz. Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Maths/Mathematics), General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry), Computer Knowledge and Descriptive Paper will be printed in both English and Hindi languages.
